Dreams of Wilmington (now Dreams Center for Arts Education) received $25,000 for a program entitled “Building 21st-Century Global Thinkers through the Arts: A Creative Approach.” The grant provided arts education to 100 economically disadvantaged youth ages 8 to 17, expanded the Teen Council (a leadership and college-readiness program) and implemented Family Arts Nights and Family Art Week. Dreams provides at-risk youth with free, high-quality programing in the literary, visual and performing arts.
