Cape Fear Literacy Council received $24,000 to initiate a new digital literacy program. This program provides customized computer instruction to adults with diverse backgrounds at convenient locations in New Hanover County in classes and in a mobile lab.

The Bellamy Mansion Museum received $24,000 to enhance visitors’ educational experience by performing new research on enslaved people who lived in the mansion, updating its video to help visitors better understand the lives and living conditions of those enslaved people and provide interpretative kiosks and free brochures for visitors to the museum.

Vantage Pointe received $5,250 to expand its Teen Court program to serve a larger eligible population since North Carolina raised the age that juveniles could be prosecuted as adults from 16 to 18.

Team First Book received $5,250 to fund an expansion of its book distribution program in New Hanover County elementary schools.
